01

Search that matches your theme

Turn on the theme embed and Iris Search replaces results on your search page. Product cards stay native to the theme. No code changes.

02

Synonyms, redirects, stop words

Map “sneakers” to “trainers,” send “sale” to a collection, and strip filler words before the search runs. Preview the result in the app before it goes live.

03

Merchandising rules

Pin bestsellers, boost a seasonal product, demote old stock, or hide something from search. Rules apply in order, on top of relevance.

04

Filters and sorting

Filters are detected from your catalog. Paid plans can edit them and add custom filters. Shoppers can sort by relevance, price, title, or newest.

05

Personalization

Growth reorders results from what a visitor browses. Pro adds purchase history and lets you tune the weights.

06

Analytics you can open

Getting Started
Does this replace my theme's search?
It replaces the results on your search page only. Product cards stay in your theme's own design. Turn the app embed on in the theme editor. No code changes.
What is a synonym versus a redirect?
A synonym makes different words return the same products. A two-way group treats every term as equal. A one-way group sends the extra words to the first term. A redirect skips results and sends that exact query to a page, such as a collection.
Can I preview a search before it goes live?
Yes. The Search page in the app has a live preview that runs the same rules as the storefront: stop words, synonyms, redirects, filters, and merchandising.
Merchandising
How do pin, boost, and hide work?
Create a rule for a query or a set of products. Pinned products stay at the top, boosted products move up, demoted products move down, and hidden products are left out. Rules are available on Growth and Pro.
Will shoppers see why a product moved?
No. Pin and boost labels are for you, in the app preview and in analytics. The storefront shows the product in its new position.
Analytics
What can I see for each search?
The event log is one row per search. If someone clicked a product, that product name is on the same row. Open the row to see the exact product list from that moment, in order.
How long is analytics kept?
7 days on Free, 90 days on Growth, and 2 years on Pro.
Billing & Plans
What happens when I pass the monthly search limit?
On Free, storefront search falls back to your theme's native results for the rest of the month. On Growth, search keeps running for a 7-day grace period, then falls back until you upgrade or the next month starts. Pro is unlimited.
Do you keep my synonyms if I downgrade?
Yes. Extra synonyms, redirects, and rules stay saved. Only the number your current plan allows is applied to search.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from the app's plan settings. There is no long-term contract. Your search configuration stays in place if you resubscribe.
Is there a "Powered by Iris" label?
On the Free plan, search results include a small Powered by Iris label. Growth and Pro can turn it off.
